It’s the one day where everyone is Irish: St. Patrick’s Day is March 17 and while we may not be able to celebrate like we did in the past, here are some fun facts about the holiday that you might not have heard of before.

- You Look Better in Blue - The original color associated with St. Patrick was blue because he taught about the Holy Trinity, which is represented by the color. But he used the three-leaved shamrock as his teaching tool – and so the color green became the most common association.
- 2) There Were No Snakes in Ireland - St. Patrick is said to have eliminated all snakes from Ireland, but the fact of the matter is Ireland’s environment is too cold and harsh for the cold-blooded reptiles which need a steady diet of sunlight – and that’s not something you’ll find in Ireland.
- And the Password Is... - During the Revolutionary Way, on March 17, 1776, George Washington issued the password “St. Patrick” to those wishing to pass through the Continental Army lines to safety.
