New Take on a Stately Classic

Two-story homes don't come any more open than our Pembrooke plan. The main emphasis when creating this plan was to discover whether or not we could design a two-story that felt like there was something more to discover with every twist and turn. Judging by the response, we succeeded.

A Floorplan Worth Building

When you come up the walk to the Pembrooke, you are first impressed by the sheer mass of the home. It commands quite a traditional presence from the curb. But before you think this homeplan is all stuffiness and no breathability, take a look at the informal dining area. There aren't a whole lot of floorplans that will support not only traditional decor, but also contemporary bistro-style seating. And more importantly, do both at the same time.

All the Room in the World

In a kitchen, storage space can sometimes be at a premium, as the kitchen sometimes becomes the hub of the entire home. Kids do homework at the kitchen table and often times parties wind up in the kitchen. Bills are often paid at the kitchen table, and we've all had our morning coffee leaning on the kitchen counter. So when we designed this kitchen, we wanted it to give you everything you needed in a food preparation and informal entertainment capacity.

Stepping into Your Space

The family room, which is nicely sectioned away from the more formal entertainment areas, allows for a good flow, but at the same time offers a stopping and starting point for decor. It can be difficult to do, but every Homeway Home is designed to give just enough indication of those starting and stopping points.

The formal dining room is another example of how the Pembrooke can be your canvas, whether your palette is traditional or contemporary. While the layout is open, it maintains traditional base elements like the opening foyer, the staircase to the second floor, and the look into the formal dining room to your right and the living room to your left.

Classic styling cues like this moulding arrangement are among the many fine features of the Pembrooke, and is an example of the attention to detail in each Homeway Home we build.

Upstairs, the bedrooms are very roomy, which allows for more bold color choices. with this kind of room it's easy to make your little princess' own fairytale kingdom ...

Traffic flow from the upstairs to downstairs is easily handled with an open and spacious stairwell that includes solid wood bannister railing and individualized hallway/entryway lighting. With four bedrooms upstairs, the layout is very centralized and allows good access across the board.

A master suite that strikes you with the luxury of space as soon as you walk in. We devoted a full wing of the second floor to the Master Suite, and we think you'll agree the space is well spent. With a gorgeus set of windows all around you, light just bathes the room when the curtains are drawn. The master bath is nestled around the corner and is the perfect setting for your own little spa getaway.
