Just How Does It Work?

The Homeway Homes Life Recovery Program works very simply. If your home is destroyed or declared unlivable in any way, and you determine that you would like to rebuild, you would contact us.

From there, we work with you to customize one of our Woman-Centric plans around your life. You then choose your design elements, floorplan, exterior appointments and where your new Homeway Home will sit on your property.

And after that, we do everything else. And that includes complete in-house design services, to permit coordination to site preparation once we have removed the existing home, to coordinating the contracts, inspections and financial particulars with your insurance agent.

How long does it take to build a Homeway Home through the Life Recovery Program?
The usual build and completion process of 120 days for a Homeway Home is expedited to 90 days for the average sized home. It’s worth noting, however, that different design choices, road restrictions, work you wish to do yourself, etc., may slow or speed the process. So their Homeway Homes New Home Consultant should be able to give you a much better defined timeline once your choices and designs are finalized.

How can you possibly build a house that fast?
Homeway Homes’ Construction Facility is never weather-delayed, unlike site-built homes. The process used by our facility for creating a home not only means our homes are built faster, but more accurately, as our building environment is much more precise than building the entire home at the site.

How much quality can I expect from a new Homeway Home?
The answer... a Homeway Home is custom designed to be Quality Built for Better Living™. If you have a blueprint or a general layout of your old home, we can even rebuild it. But their new Homeway Home will be better insulated, more true and square because of the Homeway Homes construction process and depending on availability, can be built with as many of the same specific materials as the original. In fact, your new Homeway Home will be built to the written Illinois Builders Quality Assurance Program.

I had a pretty big home, almost 5,000 square feet. Can Homeway Homes build large homes?
Yes. Our commercial side actually builds schools, office complexes, duplexes, condominiums, gymnasiums and more through the Homeway Homes Construction Facility. So building big is nothing new to us. In fact, anything that can be built in a site-built home can be built in a Homeway Home. And with the Homeway Homes construction process, it’s built better.

I’ve heard a lot of good things about this Construction Facility. Can I see it?
Absolutely, and we even encourage it. We give self-guided and guided tours weekly, and you can even tour the Construction Facility online.
